How to start the bankruptcy process
The first thing I want to do when you call my office is to screen your case for any obvious issues that could arise in your bankruptcy case. My goal is to make the process go as smoothly as possible for you. I also want to know of any possible collection actions being taken against you. Some clients require immediate attention as they face mortgage foreclosure , wage garnishment, repossessions or some other legal form of debt collection. Other times, clients realize they are in over their heads and due to some interruption of income and cannot repay their debts. After this initial phone call you will have a basic strategy of how to proceed.

Office Consultation
After the initial phone interview, the next step is to schedule a free consultation . I find that there is no substitute for a face to face meeting with my clients. In this way, you will have my undivided attention devoted to your case. I can also review the documents (credit card bills, collection letters, lawsuit summons, mortgage foreclosure , garnishments) affecting your case. There are many details which need to be confirmed in connection with your bankruptcy. There are also many rules about bankruptcy that you need to know.
